Hyatt Regency, Vladivostok

East meets West

The Hyatt Regency Vladivostock was destined to be the first internationally branded hotel in the city – a city on the Eastern edge of Russia and one that was rapidly modernising. twenty2 degrees was invited to design all the interiors of this new-build hotel, including several restaurants and bars, a spa, banqueting and meeting spaces and 217 guestrooms and suites.

The aesthetic was appropriately modern and international, but this we overlaid with contemporary Asian elements including a wide use of stone and timber and, in the basement, a bar which boldly celebrated Japanese youth culture.
