twenty2 degrees redesigned the ground floor public areas of this mid-twentieth century hotel to create Marriott’s signature Greatroom, and refurbished the extensive meeting and banqueting spaces above.
While addressing all brand touchpoints, we layered these with the rich essence of Budapest, in particular its artistic inheritance. The multi-functional Greatroom now combines Social, Individual and Guest Service Zones defined by different colour palettes, furniture collections and lighting; the room also features the brand’s first ‘disruptive bar’. Together with cubist shapes and Bauhaus curves, we celebrated the location through a collaboration with contemporary local artists and by way of specially designed carpets and screens inspired by some of the most esteemed Hungarian designers.
