Set on the banks of the Ishim River in Astana’s Central Park, The Residences at the St. Regis extend the brand’s ‘Live Exquisite’ philosophy into a private, residential setting.
twenty2degrees was commissioned to design both a show apartment and the shared spaces for residents, where we focused on creating an inviting sense of arrival defined by layered materials, statement chandeliers and a welcoming fireplace in one of the world’s coldest cities.
The apartment has the ambience of a refined private home for today – timeless, tactile and effortlessly luxurious. Its palette is composed of warm neutrals, deep timbers and burnished metals, sparingly punctuated with St Regis’ signature King Cole Red. Intricate detailing in joinery, metalwork and tiling offers a contemporary interpretation of local crafts while, drawing on Kazakhstan’s rich heritage, subtle references to equine and hunting traditions speak of the cultural masculinity associated with the region.
Generous proportions, a luxuriously fitted kitchen and the calm palette together create a sophisticated canvas for modern living, allowing residents to make the place their own.
