AC Hotel by Marriott Pardubice

Disciplined design, local nuance

Designing within the established principles of AC Hotels by Marriott, twenty2 degrees created interiors defined by precision, clarity and sophisticated simplicity. Clean lines, simple forms and architectural lighting shape a calm, contemporary European environment, layered with carefully introduced local references that add depth to the experience.

The reception is organised around a dramatic double-height volume that reinforces openness and flow through to the bar and restaurant. Dark timbers, patterned screens and warm metallic accents enrich the restrained backdrop, while statement lighting draws movement through the space. In this pared-back setting, detail is paramount – integrated lighting, resolved material junctions, aligned finishes and luxurious materials elevate the space.

Local character is expressed through bespoke carpets and the fretwork of screens informed by the exterior tiling of Pardubice Castle, alongside textures and artworks inspired by printmaker Ivo Křen. The restaurant balances simple detailing with high quality materiality; generously sized counters and lots of natural light together create an open, sociable setting.

Guestrooms introduce a warm, residential note with their walnut joinery, contemporary detailing and locally inspired artwork. Bathrooms remain refined yet tactile, combining light marble, timber and subtle metallic accents.
