Twenty2degrees is developing schemes to refurbish the guestrooms, suites and bedroom corridors at the JW Marriott Berlin, located in City West near Tiergarten Park, the capital’s much loved ‘green lung’. Naturally, we are finding our aesthetic inspiration in the park – its trees, the lilies of the lakes and the movement of swans that make their homes on the banks – capturing these in bespoke fabric design as well as in our colour and material choices.
Equally, our purpose is to align the quality of accommodations with the values of the JW brand, known for classic luxury and refined design, hotels where guests are encouraged to take in the moment and find serenity.
Therefore, our concepts include warm oak parquet to the floors coupled with lighter oak finishes to the furniture, elegant Statuario Marble and aged bronze elements. A neutral colour palette is enriched with the natural greens of custom rugs, upholstery and lacquered drinks stations. Artwork will convey Tiergarten’s organic forms captured in monochromatic photographs of textural sculptures made of paper or fine metal.
