An English classic
twenty2 degrees was commissioned to design a new wing of guestrooms at the historic Grand Hotel in York, the city’s only five-star hotel. The brief was to create rooms reflecting a mature English style, that were elegant and residential in ambience. We chose a colour palette of soft greys and deep blue and combined the traditional with mid-20th Century in the furniture and fittings. The bathrooms were more contemporary in tone and clad in Calacatta marble to complete the luxury experience.
