As a major sponsor of Manchester United Football Club, Marriott Hotels offered twenty2 degrees a truly one-off opportunity to design the Seat of Dreams, a branded four-seater sofa which was to take pride of place in the Old Trafford stadium at the heart of a new VIP experience.
Following on from this, we were invited to reinvent a suite in the V&A Hotel as a Man U themed space. We combined the club’s colours, specially designed fittings, curated accessories and even a rug depicting the path of a famous goal with millwork and other finishes of the highest quality for “fans who eat, sleep and breathe Manchester United”.
Since then, we have designed Marriott’s VIP box at Old Trafford which converts into a guestroom so visitors may have the exclusive experience of sleeping off post-match exhaustion in the stadium itself.
